Cornish Crabber 24 SHAMROCK

Cornish Crabber 24 SHAMROCK

SHAMROCK is an attractive Cornish Crabber 24 with a Dark Green hull.  Equipped with a shaft driven Yanmar 18hp diesel (last serviced in 2017), long keel, tiller steering and fractional 3/4 cutter rig.

As a Bermudan rig version of the Crabber 24 there is less rope in the cockpit and better upwind performance.  She also has headsail furling and lazy jacks.  All lines are fed back to the cockpit.

SHAMROCK has been lightly used by her owners.  The hull bottom was professionally grit blasted, faired and epoxy coated in 2010.  The rudder, which is made of wood, has had special treatment with epoxy resin sheathing.

Replacement/extra sound-proofing in the engine bay  benefit this Cornish Crabber 24.

The layout includes a heads in the forepeak and a small galley, so she can be cruised in reasonable comfort by a family.  Adventurous owners have sailed their Crabbers far and wide.  SHAMROCK has been cruised from Chichester, across the Channel and the South West Coast.

SHAMROCK is a good example of this popular family cruising yacht built by Cornish Crabbers in Cornwall, in 1995 and designed by Roger Dongray.  She has been in the current ownership for three years and is for sale as the owner is moving to a power boat.

This Cornish Crabber 24 is afloat at Noss on Dart Marina, Kingswear, Dartmouth.
