Broker Remarks

This Hallberg Rassy 352 for sale with Network Yacht Brokers Plymouth is the best Rassy 352 I have seen, she is heavily specified and fitted out.

Her current owners have updated the electronics package with a new Raymarine E series chartplotter, radar and AIS system. They have also had a new engine installed and is now powered by a Volvo Penta D2-40, 40hp diesel engine, this coupled with the Max feathering Prop gives an excellent turn of speed under power. This installation relieves any new owner of the cost of replacing an old Volvo Penta 2003T engine that many of these yachts still carry.

The Stainless steel standing rigging was also replaced in October 2012, the safety of the crew is paramount to the current owner hence these upgrades have been carried out, with no expense spared!

The current owners have owned this Hallberg Rassy 352 since 2012 and have cruised her to Northern and Southern France, the Channel Islands, the Scillies and all over the Southwest coastline. She is a serious yacht that will take on all conditions thrown at her.

Long keel boats are known to be troublesome close quarter manoeuvring, well not this one! she boasts a bow thruster with foot controls in the cockpit, making berthing a breeze. She also has sail control lines lead aft to the cockpit, which makes the in-mast reefing effortless, the genoa furling line is also controlled from the cockpit.

This Hallberg Rassy is easy to sail shorthanded or with a small crew.

Owners Remarks:
We were privileged to purchase Verdandi in August 2012 from her previous owner’s widow. They had owned her for 22 of her 24 years and sailed her extensively in the West Country and Northern France. Much love had been lavished on her as she was a retirement present. Since we purchased her we have continued to look after her and have spent a considerable amount on updating the electronics and replacing the engine. She is very much a go anywhere yacht and during our short ownership we have sailed to Southern Brittany, Northern Brittany, the Channel Islands, The Scilly Isles and numerous trips along the south coast to Falmouth, Dartmouth, Fowey and Salcombe from our home port of Plymouth.

She is incredibly seaworthy and last year we were crossing the Channel when the forecast weather took a major change for the worst and we ended up in a force 7 gusting 8. A couple of reefs were applied and we hardly noticed it. I was initially attracted to her as I enjoy single handed sailing and with a young family we need quite a bit of space! She is very easy to handle shorthanded or on your own and has plenty of accommodation with good space on deck.

The finish is amazing and I believe that the quality of the joinery is as good if not superior to current Hallberg Rassys. The heads are a real feature with the full size Hallberg Rassy porcelain sink and a Baby Blake sea toilet- it’s almost like being at home.
