Broker Remarks

Westerly Oceanranger 38 for sale.  This is a very fine example of this highly regarded centre cockpit sailing cruiser from Westerly. 'Braveheart' has seven berths in two main sleeping cabins plus the saloon, though the layout lends itself particularly well to a "two couples" usage.  The aft master cabin has a huge double berth and fully en-suite heads, the two-berth forecabin also has an adjacent forward heads, this sleeping accommodation leaves the large saloon free for relaxing and entertaining, although the linear saloon seating can also be converted to a double and single berth.

The companionway leading to the owners aft cabin was converted from a pilot berth to make space for extra hanging lockers and this gives lots of extra storage space.

The engine is a Volvo Penta 2030 28HP diesel, with a Brunton autoprop variable pitch propeller and ropecutter, which gives the Westerly Oceanranger a top speed of seven knots under power.

The running rigging all leads back to the cockpit for ease of use and single or shorthanded sailing.  The fully battened main and furling genoa are North sails and have been regularly serviced.

This yacht comes with a comprehensive set of navigation and safety equipment.

The Oceanranger, at 38 feet, represents a large enough yacht to be a serious passage-maker, in comfort, and at the same time is not too big for handling in harbour and marinas by a couple.

Under only her third ownership and lying ashore close to our office at Noss Marina to view,' Braveheart' needs to be seen. The hull was epoxy treated in 2001.
