Broker Remarks
The Westerly Merlin was the second design that Westerly commissioned from Ed Dubois, resulting in better performance and a more modern hull form compared to the Laurent Giles designed Konsort. Although smaller the Merlin has a much improved interior and offers three separate cabins making it ideal for family cruising.
This 1992 Westerly Merlin is well presented and a very tidy example of this popular sailing boat. Welia has the preferred bilge keels and sugar scoop transom making her ideal for cruising around the coast and estuaries. The current owners have treated her as part of the family and she's benefitted from some good upgrades in recent years such as new upholstery and standing rigging. This is one of the nicest Merlin's we've seen and I challenge you to find a better example.
