Broker Remarks

The Wauquiez Hood 38 is the preferred Mk II version, she combines a design by noted naval architect Ted Hood with the quality build of the Henri Wauquiez Boatyard, the finished yacht is excellent. The Wauquiez Hood 38 is a very capable blue water cruiser that has extremely comfortable accommodation, her performance also surprises most as she has a large overlapping Genoa that generates lots of power, she is quick yet very well balanced.
Her centreboard allows for versatility whether exploring shallow coastal areas or crossing oceans.
The current owners have upgraded the boat with some very tasteful touches to her appearance. The galley was completely refitted in 2017 with new worktop, oven & sink, even the internal configuration of the cupboards and shelves have been changed to improve the usability of the spaces available for storage.
Other improvements to have been carried out is the interior upholstery, this was recovered in 2016 & look great. The hull has also had a facelift with the livery strip being professionally resprayed in grey making her appear more modern, the addition of new colour coded canvas sprayhood, cockpit enclosure, stackpack & UV strip really makes the boat look superb!
This Wauquiez Hood 38 is well presented, she has excellent accommodation & feels notably light & airy, with the new upholstery & has very good standing headroom throughout (1.95m in the saloon), as well as long berths.
