Broker Remarks

1985 Victoria 30
This Victoria 30 has been significantly refurbished by the current owner over the past six years including new engine, controls, plumbing, wiring, rigging, sails, electronics and much more which is reflected in the asking price.  The layout is traditional and combines comfortable, safe, and secure, long distance passage making accommodation for two people with ample space for four or five on board for shorter cruises. The double-ended hull is balanced and sea kindly with fine directional stability and a good turn of speed. Her present owner purchased ‘Jenny Wren’ 6 years ago and has now decided to retire from sailing. Presented in very good condition viewing highly recommended

Accommodation

The interior has a teak and holly cabin sole combined with teak bulkheads and white laminate overheads and coach top sides, provides for a warm yet bright interior.

The headroom is 6’ in the main salon and slightly less forward in the vee-berth area. There is excellent ventilation from the 4 opening bronze ports, two large opening cabin top hatches and vent over the head. To port as you come down the companionway is the galley. There is a stainless-steel sink with a Whale gusher foot pump and a Domestic two burner stove with grill and oven. There is storage available in a locker behind the stove with a shelf above, and under the sink cabinet. There is a large fridge.

To starboard is the nav station with quarter berth aft. The large chart table accommodates full size charts, with storage underneath for several charts. There are three drawers below the chart table as well as shelving outboard of the nav table and seat. There is storage underneath the quarter berth and the quarter berth area makes excellent storage for sails and other bulky gear. The saloon has settees port and starboard with a teak table that stows along the forward starboard bulkhead. When in the lowered position, the table can seat five people comfortably. A cabinet with shelves and wine glass holders are fitted behind the table. More storage is available behind settee backs and in a shelf above each settee.

Forward and starboard of the saloon is the head. The sink is outboard of the Jabsco head and slides out for ease of use and access to through hulls. The vee-berth with removable insert has storage under the berth in three compartments, and in two centreline drawers. There are lockers port and starboard located above the aft ends of each side of the berth. There is ample ventilation with the overhead hatch and opening port. Access to the chain locker is through the forward bulkhead.
