This yacht is a fine example of this type of classic ketch which has been the subject of considerable updating and well maintained by the current owners. Well worth viewing and considering if you want a long distance blue water cruiser.
Accommodation
This yacht has 7 berths in total, 2 single berths in the forepeak cabin, the main saloon area converts to a double berth, there is a single starboard side midships berth and also a large double berth in the aft cabin. The headroom in the saloon is 7', beige upholstery with teak woodwork. There are two separate heads equipped with sea toilets, wash basins and showers. There is also a linear galley on the port side which is equipped with Taylors gas cooker with grill, 2 hob burners & a hot plate, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Mechanical and Rigging
GRP hull which was epoxy treated in 2005. Long keel Teak decks A new Perkins shaft driven engine was fitted to the vessel in 2005 with a Borg Warner (velvet drive hydraulic) gearbox and Flexi controls. According to the vendor this is a very economical engine which uses approximately 4 litres an hour at cruising speed. Vetus 92 Bow Thruster. Paguro 4KVA 4000 Diesel Generator (1321 hrs) 1 kilowatt inverter. Fuel Tanks - 2 x 80 Gallons Water tanks - 2 x 80 Gallons (new 2005) Holding tanks - 1 x 20 Gallons and 1 x 10 Gallons This cutter rigged ketch has aluminium Isomat mast & spars, 2 x Rotostay Furling systems (forestay & inner stay), slab reefing and a spinnaker pole. The genoa, stay sail, main sail, mizzen sail and cruising chute are manufactured by Stephen Ratsey, they were all replaced in 2005. The boat also has a spare genoa, main sail and mizzen. Stainless steel standard rigging & bottle screws were replaced in 2004/2005.
