Broker Remarks

A tough and rugged boat, widely known and tested on the wild American North West Coast. The styling is traditional; a slightly raised stern and a flared bow to help keep the wet stuff off the windscreen in a chop. a deep keel which offers stability and a nearly flat bottom aft which helps speed and reduces rolling. "It could be the first new craft for young boaters, or perhaps the last boat for mature couples who want to continue cruising but are tired of the responsibilities that go with owning large, fast, expensive, high maintenance yachts." PASSAGEMAKER magazine. She makes sense for all. 36’ FAROE Sedan. The Faroe 36 Sedan has been developed by the same team that has created the renowned and highly regarded CHB Trawler yachts. The CHB range have been cruising the oceans and seaways of the world for more than 35 years and by the 1980’s had gained a reputation for being solid, seaworthy, reliable and well built. The benchmark for craft of this type. Faroe Yachts have teamed up with CHB to re-introduce these amazing craft and in particular bring them to the attention of European boaters. The result is a modern take on the original time served master piece built to today’s exacting standards and in keeping with the expectations of today’s modern boaters whilst still offering unbeatable value. The Faroe 36 is ideal for cruising all our waters, with a covered walk around for the decks, a partially covered cockpit and excellent steering visibility from inside and out. When the sun shines, the aft cockpit or extensive upper deck make excellent places to enjoy the wide open spaces and sea air. The Faroe 36’ is based on the same well proven semi/full displacement hull that gave the CHB it’s excellent reputation for it’s sea keeping abilities. At the aft end, the hard chines give the boat good stability. The hull then works into a deep ‘V’ for cutting through the water and pushing the waves clear to ensure minimum spray. Powered by a reliable Cummins Diesel she cruises comfortably at 8 knots. Max speed 10knots. Commissioning £3000 + VAT

HULL & SUPERSTRUCTURE On both the hull and superstructure we use an ISO resin and US made Valspar gelcoat. we minimise the use of external teak to keep maintenance to a minimum and enjoyment to the maximum. The hull is a solid hand-laid fibreglass laminate. We use no coring in the substantial hull laminate. On the outer layers of the hull we use a vinylester resin which is more resistant to water penetration than a standard polyester resin. This helps to prevent blistering. To further eliminate the risk we also epoxy below the waterline on all of our new boats. The superstructure is hand-laid with synthetic honey comb coring material for light but stiff construction and longevity.
