1987 Westerly Storm 33 OOD 
The yacht needs no introduction a hugely popular design from the board of Ed Dubois, these well-built family cruisers have quick and easily handled performance with a spacious layout in the modern style that offers plenty of comfort below decks. This good example has been carefully maintained and is offered for sale in good condition. A 2015 survey report is available on request.

Accommodation

The layout offers up to seven berths in three cabins, with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation.  A V-berth in the Forecabin with vanity basin. Opening hatch to deck. Hanging locker. 

In the saloon is a dinette to port converting to double berth and single settee berth opposite. It has a fixed saloon table with drop leaves that opens to easily accommodate seven people.  Opening hatch to deck. There is a good sized chart table to starboard with galley opposite. 

The galley has twin stainless-steel sinks with a cold manually pumped water system. It has two water tanks that hold 300ltr freshwater in total. Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven.  12v Refrigerator. 

There is a separate heads compartment with marine toilet, washbasin. The Aft cabin has a  double berth and hanging locker. Mikuni diesel fired hot air heating in the saloon and aft cabin makes the boat feel cosy. 

There is a large cockpit for the size of the yacht with good storage lockers and secure seating areas with teak inserts. 

Mechanical and Rigging

Sails and Spars:

Masthead rigged Bermudan sloop. Anodised mast and boom by Kemp Spars. Stainless steel standing rigging replaced 2019. Terylene running rigging replaced as and when required. Manual backstay adjuster. Slab reefing mainsail, with lazyjacks (new 2018). Furlex headsail furling system. Lines led aft to cockpit. Spinnaker pole.

2 x Sheet winches (Lewmar 46 self-tailing electric 2017)

2 x Halyard winches (Barlow 25)

1 x Mainsail Dacron, Crusader 2016 condition very good last valeted 2019

Mechanical Systems:

Located abaft the companionway, Volvo MD2002 twin cylinder 18hp diesel engine, last serviced July 2020.  Electric start. Raw water-cooled. Shaft drive to two bladed folding propeller. Single lever control. 64ltr fuel capacity in stainless steel tank giving approximately 250 miles range at 5.0 knots cruising speed.  Maximum speed under power 6.0 knots.


Electrical Systems:

2 x 12-volt Domestic batteries 110Ah new 2018, 12-volt 1 x Engine Battery 110Ah new 2018, charging from the engine alternator and solar panel. Advec  battery management system. 240-volt shore connection with 240-volt ring main.
