The Sigma 362, designed by David Thomas, has proved to be a fast, well-mannered and easily handled family cruiser, a delight to sail. The spacious layout below is both practical and sea manlike, whether at sea or in harbour. This good example has enjoyed a life of good maintenance and upgrading including a new engine in 2006


Accommodation

The accommodation offers seven berths in three cabins. In forecabin, V double berth with infill. Opening hatch to foredeck, hanging locker and washbasin. In saloon, dinette to port providing single berth or double with infill, single settee berth opposite. Pilot berth to starboard. Chart table to starboard with galley opposite. Galley with twin stainless-steel sinks, fridge, twin hob gas cooker with oven and grill, hot and cold pressurised water system. 228 litres freshwater capacity. Separate heads compartment with marine toilet, shower, washbasin and hanging locker. Aft cabin with double berth and hanging locker. Heated throughout via a Webasto Airtop 3900 last serviced in 2016. Recently replaced upholstery in blue velor.

Mechanical Systems

The Sigma 362 is powered by a 2006 Beta three cylinder 28 hp diesel engine located under companionway. Electric start. Indirect cooling. Single lever Morse controls. Shaft drive to a 3 bladed fixed propeller. 100 litre fuel capacity in plastic steel tank. Regularly maintained, last engine service Spring 2018. Engine hours 5073 as at 10th Feb 2020. Last out of water maintenance September 2016. Boat is being sold with her entire stock of spares.

Electrical Systems

3 x 12-volt batteries approximately 4 years old, charging from the engine alternator, with an Advel battery management system. 240-volt shore power connection with inverter. Switchboard rewired in 2016.

Built in 1986 by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd. White GRP hull with styling line. White GRP, decks with light grey moulded-in non-slip surfaces. Cast iron fin keel. Whitlock wheel steering to spade hung rudder. Aft self-draining cockpit. Liferaft stowage is on the push pit. Teak lined cockpit sole and seats.
