Broker Remarks

The Sigma 36 is a well known and respected cruiser/racer of solid quality with a spacious comfortable interior and can be easily handled by a couple. She also gives good performance for fast passages.

Accommodation

Forward cabin has two V berths with infill to convert to a double.
Stern area has a double berth.
Saloon has two single berths with an additional two pipe cots and quarter berth.
Saloon with L shaped settee to starboard, settee to port and a large folding dining table.
Chart table is facing forward on the starboard side.
Toilet compartment is on the starboard side with a sea toilet and washhand basin.

Galley:
Galley is on the port side with good storage, Plastimo Neptune gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill.
Stainless sink with hot and cold pressurised fresh water and 12V fridge.

Mechanical and Rigging

This Sigma 36 was designed by David Thomas and built by Marine Projects of Plymouth in 1984.
GRP hull, deck and coach roof, fin keel and spade rudder with wheel steering. The hull was treated for osmosis in 1994/5 It was professonally peeled dried and recoated with Blakes epoxy coating.

Mechanical:
Powered by a 27hp Lombardini diesel engine (1311 hours) driving through a shaft to a fixed 2 bladed folding propellor.

Sails and Rigging:
Fractionally rigged yacht with stainless steel standing last replaced in 2003.
Silver anodised alloy mast, single spreaders with a Rotostay roller reefing headsail and adjustable back stay.
Sail wardrobe consists of Crusader slab reefing mainsail(2004), Nicholson Hughes genoa(2005), No3 jib, trisail and two spinnakers.

Electrics:
12V supply from three batteries charged by engine alternator, solar panel, or 240V battery charger.
Fitted with 240V shorepower and cable.

Tankage:
Fuel tank 100 litre capacity.
Water tank with a total capacity 114 litres.

Water System:
Pressurised cold and hot fresh water system heated either by engine or 240V immerser.
