This is a pretty example of the popular Shetland 535, albeit looks a bit fed up and needs a polish at the moment! "Firefly" has given the owner many years of family fun and with the still immaculate 40 hp engine, she should continue to give years of trouble free service. Priced to sell quickly, note the reduced price reflects very good value even though a trailer will need to be provided unless local moorings are available. Accommodation
2 surprisingly acceptable berths, with stowage underneath. Large locker to port, table top with locker to st'bd. Cabin light, cigar lighter, fuse board.
Mechanical and Rigging
GRP hull & deck mouldings. Hull was professionally stripped and re antifouled 2003 (not been in the water for more than a few hours since). Please note that at this time the age of the vessel is an estimate. We believe 7,000 were produced between 1965 & 1975, so we have gone for the middle for now! Official hull number 3689. Yamaha 40 hp with 5 gallon fuel tank, Autolube. Still with original manual & tool kit, this lightly used outboard has been professionally serviced every year. We believe the engine was purchased in 1994, servicing by Buzzard Marine (where she is currently lying) since 1998. Zips along at up to 22kts in calm conditions, more economical at 17kts. The engine was last professionaly serviced and ran in June 2007; at this time the steering cable was also renewed.
