Broker Remarks

The current owner bought this yacht back in October 2015 after searching years and years for a Sparkman & Stephens She 36 that is this good! Unfortunately after a change of circumstances the owner now finds himself moving abroad for a new job opportunity, of which the boat cannot follow, hence with regret the owner offers this fabulous boat to market, in hope she will be adored as much as he has for his period of ownership.

This is a very special yacht like no other, she is in extraordinary good condition for a boat of this age, you will not find another She 36 like this one!
Designed by Sparkman and Stephens, the hull and deck was molded in 1976 by South Hants Marina, it was then stored in a dry barn and forgotten about following the death of the original owner. The vessel was then fitted out professionally, she has always been stored under cover and was only launched in 2006 for the very first time. She has had considerable money spent on her and has been completed to the very highest of standards using specialist skills and to all intents and purposes she is a very tidy yacht.
She has a lead keel with stainless steel fastenings, teak decks. Beta diesel engine, model BV1305 developing 35hp and driving a three bladed Kiwiprop feathering propeller, with a R & D flexible coupling, a PYI mechanical stern seal and rope cutter.
Stainless steel fuel tank, fresh water from 2 flexitanks under settees.
4 x 120 amp hour service batteries with "Smart" management charging system, 1 x 120 amp hour engine battery.
All wiring new, wired for 240v shore power with SBC advanced battery charger/invertor.
Hot water from calorifier fitted with immersion heater and water heater.
Alloy mast, keel stepped, and boom with Selden gas strut rod kicker and hydraulic backstay tensioner.
Her sail wardrobe includes a like new Vectran fully battened mainsail with frederickson cars, slab reefed and with Hood easy stow system, Vectran genoa with roller furling by Harken. Both the main and genoa are extremely high quality sails in superb condition, with very light use. MP-S cruising shute in squeezer by Hood. Storm jib on inner forestay by Hood. Trysail with separate mast track by Hood.
Deck gear includes 2 Lewmar 25's, 2 Lewmar 44's 2 speed, 2 Lewmar 40's and 2 Harken 40's.
This yacht is exceptional and I believe the first person to view her will buy her!
