Broker Remarks

1979 Puget Sound 34
This Puget Sound 34, designed by Bill Dixon was built by Chung Hwa Brothers of Taiwan in 1979. She has been lovingly cared for by father and son owners since 1987. "Loose Lady" has a GRP hull and superstructure with teak laid decks and a beautiful wood interior with interesting carvings on the doors and cabinets. She would make an ideal boat to cruise around the UK coast or take down to the Med.  She would also make an ideal liveaboard motorboat as she has two heads and double separate cabins.

Accommodation

The Puget Sound 34 offers seven berths in three cabins including the saloon.  She has over six feet of headroom throughout and has lots of natural light from the tinted portholes. The teak finished interior and red upholstery give a warm and close feel to this motorboat which is enhanced by the Webasto diesel cabin heating system, Radio and TV.

The for’dcabin is accessed via a sliding door for’d in the saloon. It has a large V berth which are two singles with storage beneath and a hanging wardrobe. The for’d cabin has its own en-suite heads compartment with washbasin , toilet, vanity unit and shower.

Aft of the fo’rd cabin and to starboard is the wheel giving good visibility through the large for’d and side windows when sat on the helmsman’s seat. She has hydraulic and electric wheel steering, automatic pilot, GPS and fish finder, echo sounders, compasses and a chart drawer. A sliding door provides access to the starboard side deck.

Aft of the for’d cabin is the saloon. This has an L-shaped seating area to starboard with a saloon table that opens out and also drops to convert to a single berth. Opposite is a small seat to port.  It has various shelves for additional storage, parquet flooring and curtains throughout. There is a pull out cocktail cabinet behind the helmsman’s seat.

Opposite the L shaped seat  is the linear style galley which has a two-burner hob with oven and grill, 240v AC/12V DC fridge, sink and a range of storage cupboards.

Aft of the saloon is the master cabin which has a double berth to starboard with storage underneath. To port is a large single berth. The aft cabin is light and airy which is enhanced by the opening deck hatch and door which leads on to the aft deck.

The aft cabin again has its own en-suite heads with washbasin, shower, Jabsco toilet.

Outside, the vessel has wide side-decks givingeasy access around the boat. There is seating area at the bow and two seating areas, one on top of the aft cabin and then up some steps to the flybridge which can easily accommodate ten people.

The mast can easily be lowered on to its own support by one person reducing the airdraft  to pass under bridges. etc.
