Broker Remarks
A very well thought-out small RIB that works perfectly as a yacht tender (on davits) or estuary runabout — not just something to get you ashore, but something you actually enjoy using.
The Axis 3.1 is one of the few boats at this size that feels like a “proper boat”. The layout comfortably seats 4 adults and importantly it has been built with weight and usability in mind, making it ideal for davits, bathing platforms, or easy launch and recovery.
Fitted with a Honda outboard with full OEM warranty on engine and boat, this is exactly what you want from a tender — reliable, quiet, and ready to go at a moment’s notice.
It also benefits from power steering (rare at this size) which completely changes the driving experience, making it far more refined and controlled than typical small RIB setups.
Accommodation
Mechanical and Rigging
The boat is powered by a Honda outboard engine supplied with full manufacturer warranty (on boat and engine), offering a very straightforward and reliable package. It is fitted with electric start and a hydraulic steering system upgraded to power steering, which significantly improves control at low and higher speeds.
The integrated fuel system includes a built-in fuel tank, fuel gauge, and fuel-water separator, all neatly incorporated into the layout. Engine instrumentation is in place via the console, alongside a full electrical system with switch panel controlling onboard functions.
A removable swim ladder is neatly stowed beneath the rear bench, which secures onto two stainless steel eyes, holding it firmly in place over the Hypalon tubes.
Inventory
The boat is built around Northstar’s Delta-Lift hull, designed to offer early planing, stability, and a dry ride. Construction is GRP with heavy-duty CSM (Hypalon) tubes, giving durability alongside a lightweight structure suited to davit use.
The deck is self-bailing when underway and finished with marine-grade upholstery throughout. The console is ergonomically designed with integrated seating, and there are large storage compartments positioned throughout the boat, making it practical for day-to-day use.
Deck hardware includes retractable cleats, lifting rings suitable for davits, and additional U-bolts for securing or towing. There is also an anchor locker and a swimming ladder for ease of access in and out of the water.
The electrical system includes LED navigation lights, an all-round light, and an automatic bilge pump.
