Tracy K is a Mitchell 31 MK I built in 1976 offered for sale in good all round condition, extended wheelhouse powered by a single 6 cylinder Ford Sabre 320HP inboard Diesel, lying ashore here in Largs Yacht Haven.
The Mitchell 31 is well known for its build quality and seaworthiness, as such it is a much sought after fishing and leisure boat. Stable and spacious throughout.
Early viewing is recommended.
Accommodation
1. Deck and superstructure
The original wheelhouse was extended and enclosed and the superstructure moulding re-sprayed
As part of the refit, Treadmaster non slip has been provided for the decking.
All wheelhouse windows are of toughened glass in aluminium frames manufactured by Technautic
The wheelhouse door is of aluminium with a toughened glass window. The door is outward opening, side hinged and has a coaming.
The forward hatch is a Canpa type and is mounted on the raised forward cabin top. This hatch is aft hinged and has a means of closure.
Engine and Fuel lnstallation
Single 6 cylinder Ford Sabre 320 HP inboard diesel engine installed.
The engine is a reconditioned unit (2005).
The engine is well maintained.
The exhaust system comprises a reinforced rubber exhaust hose with muffler.
The fuel tank is a stainless steel 100 gallon (450 Litre) and is located under the wheelhouse floor.
Bow Thruster – BCS 55Kgf
Propeller of manganese-bronze, fixed 4 bladed left handed 23" x 27".
Propeller shaft is of stainless steel.
Outer bearing is of bronze with water lubricated cutlass insert.
Raytheon Raymarine ST7001+ autopilot (2005)
Raymarine C120 plotter and radar (2005).
VHF radio
The electrical system includes five good quality 12V batteries which are suitably housed and secured. Circuit protection is provided by circuit breakers. The electrical installation includes a 12Y/24Y battery charger.
A 3.5 kVA diesel powered electric generator 201U has been fitted below the cockpit floor on the port side of the engine.
The rudder was changed from transom hung (MKl) to under hung with stainless steel skeg (MKll) as part of the 2005 refit and has since been replaced again with 316 stainless steel. The steering system is hand hydraulic which has been renewed.
7. KeelThe main keel has been provided with an lroko shoe. lroko bilge runners have also been provided which have been extended.
