The Macgregor 26M is the fastest and most versatile of the trailer sailer boats. Rigged in minutes and floating in just 12 inchesof water opens up a world of sailing options. The 50HP Yamaha outboard engine can drive you at 18 knots whilst a proper sailing rig combined with a centreboard keel, water ballast and twin rudders provide for some fun sailing.

Accommodation

Gambrinus is a Macgregor 26M built of GRP in 2005. An innovative and versatile trailer sailer design by Roger Macgregor of the USA of which over 8000 have been built. Capable of 18 knots under power but also fun to sail she comes complete with double axle braked road trailer. Take her to where there is 12 inches of water, she can be launched and rigged in just 10 minutes.
With berths for 6, full galley, enclosed head with marine wc she has good accomodation. Wheel steering, twin rudders, rotating mast, furling genoa, fixed ballast, removable water ballast and dagger board drawing 5'9" down and only 12"up allows for sailing opportunities almost anywhere. She is currently afloat in a marina berth and is presented in good condition, clean, tidy and ready to go.   

Accomodation 
There are 6 berths in total, 2 doubles and 2 singles. A large companionway leads into the saloon with a sliding galley incorporating an Origo spirit single burner stove and sink to port. To starboard is a dinette with removable table and settee berth. Aft of the steps is a double berth under the cockpit and forward of the saloon is an enclosed head with jabsco marine wc. There is a further single berth to port and in the forepeak yet another double.

Mechanical and Rigging

Powered by a Yamaha FT50 GET High thrust 50Hp outboard with electric start and hydraulic tilt she can achieve 18 knots. Overhauled this year the engine comes with a spare cowl. The two removable 25 litre fuel tanks were new in 2009. Engine controls are on the central cockpit console with the wheel steering and compass.

Rigging  
Aluminium spars with a single spreader fractional rig and stainless steel wire. The rig is demountable for trailering and has its own raising tackle and crutch. The mast rotates for improved main sail aerodynamics and the foresail has a Furlex furling system.
