Broker Remarks
This MGC 27 is in very good condition throughout having been very maintained and updated by her present owners. She was re-engined in 2014 with a new Beta 14 engine, she has been epoxied and copper coated and her standing rigging was replaced in 2019. She has a sail drive whose gaiter was replaced in 2018.Her sails are all in great condition and she can be setup with either a self-tacking jib or a full genoa on a roller furling system. She has two downwind sails a spinnaker with pole and an asymmetric cruising chute with snuffer both in excellent condition.
She has a open forward double berth with a curtain,which makes the very best use of the space available. The Saloon has a folding table and the settees can be used as full-length bunks. The aft quarter berth is designated as a double.The heads have a good sized sink and the Jabsco toilet was new in 2015.
In the galley, there is a two burner oven with grill,a cold box, stainless steel sink with pumped cold water and dry storage.
The MGC 27 was designed by Bob Humphreys with the aim of correcting some of the design flaws of the Contessa range. She has a higher free board so is drier than a Contessa ,more headroom and generally much better accommodation without sacrificing performance. All this was fully achieved with the MGC 27.
She is the best in class coastal cruiser in this size and is a proven race winner .

Accommodation
The MGC 27 sleeps 6 in a large open plan double v berth forward, two saloon settee berths and a double quarter berth. The heads have a good-sized sink and had a new toilet in 2015. The galley has a two-burner oven with grill, deep cool box and dry storage. Also a stainless steel sink with pumped cold water. The chart table is on the starboard side and the saloon has a folding dining table.
