Broker Remarks
The Gib'Sea 414 was voted "Le Bateau de L'annee 1995" at the Paris Boat Show. Awarded by the French magazine BATEAUX and selected by a group of European magazines. Only the second non-French designer to win.
Both toe rails of this yacht were renewed in 2015. Also in 2008 3 coatings of epoxy and 5 coats of copper coat were applied to the hull. Topsides have been polished and waxed each year. This yacht has only had two previous owners.
Accommodation
Sleeps eight in three double and two single berths in three cabins. Owners double cabin forward with en-suite wc shower and wash basin. Saloon with dinette which converts to double plus two single berths. Double cabin aft. Separate heads compartment aft with wc shower and wash basin. Galley fitted with gas two burner hob with oven, double stainless steel sinks and 80 litre top loading fridge. Red and blue upholstery & teak joinery in good condition.
Mechanical and Rigging
Mechanical Systems:
Located under the companionway steps is a Yanmar 4JH2E 50hp 4 cylinder diesel engine The engine has been serviced every year along with with an oil and filter change. Indirect cooling with direct drive to a 3 bladed propeller, giving a cruising speed of 4 knots with a maximum speed of 8 knots, single lever morse control (new lever fitted 2014)
Electrical Systems:
4 x 12 volt batteries, 2 domestic, 1 engine, 1 windlass, charging from the engine alternator, also 240 volt battery charger. There is a 240 volt ring main throughout the boat, an immersion, and a smart battery charger. New batteries were fitted in 2014 along with a smart bank battery system.
Spars & Sails:
Sparcraft Aluminium keel stepped mast & boom, sloop rigged, stainless steel standing rigging, Terylene running rigging. Slab mainsail reefing with Lazyjacks, furling headsail (profurl). Sails serviceable.
