Broker Remarks

Though moulded in 1976, the fit out of 'cumulus' was not started until 1992. She was completed to the highest standard by a skilled cabinet maker and craft teacher, inviting the comment from a well respected Yacht Surveyor, the late Peter Brown that "She is in every way equal to the standard of a top class yard". In current Ownership "Cumulus" has been maintained regularly and is offered for sale in exceleent order and in commission, ready to be sailed for the remainder of the season. 2003 Survey report available, all recommendations implemented.

Accommodation

Five berths in two cabins. The forecabin has two 'V' berths with storage beneath and infill to form a double, with an opening hatch to foredeck over. Seperate heads compartment with an Aqua-Marine 999 sea toilet. Hanging locker situated behind WC. Wash handbasin opposite. The Saloon has two settee berths with table between and lockers to port. The Galley to stb'd is equiped with a Techniplex gimballed gas stove with a two burner hob, grill and Oven (Corgi installed 2000). Stainless steel sink with utensil/comestible stowage below. Berth upholstery in blue cloth. Heating by Carver gas warm air unit. Manually pumped freshwater system fed from 2 x 25 litre flexible tank sited in the forepeak.

Mechanical and Rigging

GRP hull, deck and superstructure. Topsides in dark blue, white superstructure. Deck and coachroof with grey painted non-slip panels. Teak rubbing strake. Teak grab rails to coachroof. Twin keels with encapsulated ballast. Skeg hung rudder with GRP blade. Tiller steering. Interior joinery of varnished mahogany. Electric/emergency manual engine starting 35 amp alternator charging two 12volt lead acid batteries (New 2005 & 2006) Engine instrumentation plus hour meter and water alarm. Fuel Tank : 55 Litres. Bermudian Sloop Rig.Deck Stepped. Boom fitted with Proctor reefing system and Slab reefing. Silver anodised aluminium alloy mast, boom and Spinnaker pole, by SS spars. Standing rigging of 5mm 1x19 ss wire with stainless steel bottle screws. Headsail furling by Sailspar. Mainsail (Checked and valeted 2003), Furling Genoa in 7.6oz American Dacron with u/v strip.
