Broker Remarks
This cobra 850 which is for sale with Network Yacht Brokers Plymouth is an excellent example of a very popular design from David Feltham; the Cobra 850 was the most successful yacht built by Cobra Yachts, about 700 Cobra 850's were built.
This Cobra has had a total refit in the past few years, the owners have replaced all the cushion coverings, the general condition of headlining's, galley work surface etc is very good.
The engine has been professionally overhauled in 2014, new canvas sprayhood, cockpit dodgers & sail cover were also replaced in 2015. There was also a new mainsail in 2014.
The condition of the original gel is very good, and she polishes up very well, she comes with a good sail wardrobe which includes two main sails, the latest purchased for the 2014 season, furling genoa which is in good order, a spinnaker & storm jib.
She is maintained well and serviced each year, the owners are keen sailors and regularly take 3/4 weeks off in the summer for an extended cruise to the channel islands and Northern France, the boat is in regular use, and holds up well in all conditions.
The Cobra 850 is an excellent intro boat to sailing, she is easy to handle and a good size for a small family to enjoy. Costs are low due to her size, but internal volume is excellent for a boat of her size, she is a comfortable family cruiser!

Vixen V is our Cobra 850 which we have recently used to tour Northern/Southern France; Vixen is great for either coastal hopping or that bit further across the channel! We felt safe and any rough weather that we got caught up in, vixen shrugged it off. She benefits of a new sprayhood and cockpit dodgers to help keep crew dry and safe as well as many other upgrades.
