1998 Catalina 28 MkII £24,950
The Catalina 28 MkII is a spacious family cruising yacht with desirable shallow draft wing keel, perfect for exploring local waters. Surprising accommodation with very good inventory including hot and cold showers, large galley and plenty of storage. Featuring a modern design with walk through transom, wheel steering and many innovative features she is well worth considering. A nice example well presented. Boat is ashore, located in Bourgenay France.

Accommodation

Six berths in two cabins with 6'2" maximum headroom. Forecabin with vee berth and infill to form a double. Saloon with settee berths, large central folding table and storage. Galley to starboard consisting of a gimballed gas cooker with 2-burners and oven, large top loading cool box and sink with hot and cold-water supply. Heads to port with Jabsco marine toilet, basin with hot and cold-water supply and combined shower and storage. Pressurised hot and cold-water supply from calorifier and holding tank and deck or overboard discharge. Aft double berth with curtain to separate from main cabin, storage and hanging locker. Blue upholstery, with heating throughout via a Mikini diesel heater (currently not working).

Mechanical Systems

Located in engine box beneath companionway 1998 Universal M-25XPBC 26hp diesel 3-cylinder engine (1100 hours). Fresh water cooled. Twin lever Morse type engine controls at pedestal with wheel clamp. Shaft drive with rope cutter to fixed 3-bladed propeller. Cutlass bearing changed 2014, Last antifouled and anodes changed 2017.

Electrical Systems

2 x 12-volt 85Ah 2016 batteries charging from the engine alternator, shore power connection with 240-volt ring main.
