Broker Remarks

"Java" is a neat and trim example of the Beneteau First 260 Spirit racer/cruiser. This Groupe Finot designed yacht offers elegance, performance and functional comfort. She has features that are normally associated with larger vessels, such as an inboard diesel engine, a totally separate heads, clean lines and a streamlined coach roof. The performance comes from the 9/10th fractional rig and a long waterline length. The current owners purchased her 3 years ago from the original owners. The current owners have upgraded her electronics, fitted a twin burner gas stove and grill (including a gas locker for two CampingGaz bottles in the port cockpit locker) and installed a C&J Marine spray-hood and Stack-a-Main system. A survey report from 2007 is available to view. "Java" is currently lying ashore at Northney Marina and available for immediate inspection - contact Simon Williams.

Accommodation

The vessel is entered from the cockpit via a sliding hatch and perspex wash boards. Companionway steps down to main cabin with 1.80m headroom. The interior has a light, airy feel with a fore hatch, skylight and two main opening port lights. The interior joinery is in sapele and sapele faced plywood, finished in a gloss varnish. Immediately to starboard is the navigation area and chart table, electrical switch panel and chart reading light. To port is the galley area with molded sink unit with fresh water via foot pump, icebox, cupboard storage for provisions and a gimballed twin burner gas hob and grill. The main saloon has seating/berths port and starboard with a central wooden table with drop leaves. The upholstery is smart blue and white stripe giving a nautical feel. A wooden bulkhead at the end of the saloon hides the heads with Jabsco sea toilet. Opposite is a sink, with manual fresh water pump. Sliding doors close off the heads from the saloon and fore-peak, for privacy. Forward is the forepeak with double v-berth, with in-fill. There is stowage below the berths and along the hull sides.
