1973 Trapper 500
The Trapper 500 is a popular and highly regarded cruising yacht offering sparkling performance, good accommodation, and many excellent features such as moulded head linings. “Totem” has been regularly maintained and upgraded in the 36 years of ownership, including a replacement engine in 2001 and is presented in fair condition for her age.

Accommodation

This Trapper 500 offers 5 berths in 2 cabins with approx. 5'10" max. headroom.

The Forepeak has a V berth and stowage areas. A Heads compartment to port with marine toilet with a 150 Litre holding tank,  wash basin, storage cupboard and further stowage opposite.

The Saloon has a dinette table to port which can convert to form a double berth, a settee to starboard and ample lockers. Aft and to port is a sliding chart table. The Galley is aft and to starboard consisting of a two-burner gas stove with grill and oven, galley sink, fridge, manually pumped cold water supply and stowage. Upholstery finished in fawn brocade.

Spars and Sails:

Masthead Bermudan rigged sloop. Starlight silver anodised aluminium mast and boom. Spinnaker pole. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 1999). Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail. Rotostay headsail furling system. Manually adjustable backstay.

Located under companionway 2001 Lombardini LDW502M 2-cylinder 13hp diesel engine (approx. 588 hours). Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger (last service June 2020 by the owner). Single level control with electric start. Shaft drive to fixed 3-bladed propeller. Last out of water maintenance June 2020.

Electrical Systems:

3 x 12-volt batteries (2 x domestic 60/80Ah, 1 x engine 100Ah,) charged via engine alternator and 12-volt battery charger. 240v Shorepower system with ring main.
