Builders Comments
802 hulls of the Hallberg-Rassy 352 were built between 1978 -1991. The 352 was from the start a substantial sales success. This was the first time a designer had managed to combine, in a 35 foot boat, a walk through to the aft-cabin with spectacularly elegant lines. She features a comfortable interior with walk through to the aft cabin under deck, a big engine, combined with pleasant sailing qualities and nice lines.
Construction
The hull (No.343) is a solid GRP moulding, built according to Lloyd's specifications. With a long encapsulated iron fin keel and skeg-hung rudder on heavy cast bronze fittings. The deck is a sandwich GRP moulding, using polyvinyl cellular plastics as core material. The water and fuel tanks are fitted in the keel stub to improve stability. The teak deck was removed and has been painted (Kiwi Grip) and looks excellent.
The Topsides are in very good condition, having been repainted a few years ago with epoxy primer and two pack polyurethane, this includes the painting of the colored sheer strake.
