Channel Island 32 for sale in Kent
This Channel Island 32 motor cruiser, built in 1991 and is a clean example of a very well-known motorboat. The boat has been well maintained by the current owner for the last 7 years and is ideal for coastal use, channel hopping in comfort or cruising rivers.
This vessel is equipped with Raymarine Navigation equipment, a Depth gauge, a Speed/Log, an Autopilot, a chartplotter, and Radar with electronic charts and powered by a single 300hp Ford Mermaid Turbo Plus engine and a shaft-driven 3-bladed fixed propeller. The boat was last out of the water in May 2025 for general maintenance including re-antifouling, anode replacement, and hull polishing. The owner also replaced the shaft bearing in 2021. Accommodation
The Channel Island 32 provides four berths in single cabin plus the saloon, featuring a forward cabin with two spacious berths that can be converted into a double with an infill. This area is brightened by natural light from a single porthole on both the port and starboard sides.
Moving aft, the heads compartment is located to the starboard side that features a single white sink mounted in a white vanity unit with hot and cold water and a shower attachment including under sink storage, as well as a marine toilet and mirror. Hot water is supplied by the engine through a calorifier tank and a 240V immersion heater. It has a 675 litre GRP freshwater tank.
Opposite the heads to port, is the galley equipped with a single stainless-steel sink featuring pressurized hot and cold water, a two-burner gas hob with an oven and grill, a 12-volt fridge & freezer, 240-volt sockets, and ample storage space.
Ascending the saloon steps to the wheelhouse, you find a single helm seat positioned to port, complete with full engine controls, navigation aids spread across the dashboard aiming towards helm, and vessel control switches. On the starboard side, opposite the helm, is the navigator seat featuring a small chart table and storage for charts and equipment.
Located behind the navigator seat is a U-shaped booth seating area with a central table, under berth storage and this area also converts to a double berth when required. Opposite the booth seating behind the helm position is a single settee seat with under berth storage and a drinks cabinet.
This Channel Island 32 is fitted with a diesel cabin heating system, ensuring comfort with vents leading to the saloon, cabin areas, and wheelhouse. Included with the sale is a FM/CD Radio with saloon speakers, and a TV.
Moving aft through a single door, lead to a spacious aft cockpit for a boat of this size, featuring booth seating at the rear of the cockpit with under-seat storage, and access to the single Ford Mermaid Turbo engine.

Mechanical Systems:
The Channel Island 32 is powered by a single 1991 300 hp Ford Mermaid Turbo Plus six-cylinder engine. This engine was last serviced in May 2025 by the owner and is propelling a shaft-driven 3-bladed fixed propeller with a shaft bearing that was replaced in 2021.
This Ford Mermaid engine is supplied by a single 675-litre GRP fuel tank. The Channel Island 32 achieves a cruising speed of approximately 12 knots and a top speed of approximately 20 knots. The engine is easily accessed via the saloon floor making servicing easier, especially with the single engine fitted.
Electrical Systems:
Equipped with two 12-volt batteries. (1 x engine, 142Ah 2023) + (1 x domestic, 142Ah 2023) These batteries are all charged by the engine alternator, Solar Panel and via a 240v Victron split smart battery charger when connected to shore power.
This vessel also benefits from a 240-volt ring main throughout the vessel, along with an immersion heater and battery charger. A Victron battery management system ensures optimal performance of the electrical setup onboard.

This Channel Island 32 was built in 1991 by Island Marina to an Alan Buchanan Design. The Channel Island 32 motorboat is well known for its seaworthiness and robust construction. It features a blue GRP hull and a white superstructure and moulded nonslip decks, a stainless-steel pulpit leading back to the cockpit. Powered by a Ford Mermaid Turbo Plus engine, and a shaft-driven 3-bladed fix propeller.
