Broker Remarks

This 1981 Gib'Sea 28. has a Fin keel and inboard Beta Marine 16hp diesel engine new in 2019 with only 40 hours. It offers superb accommodation, six berths, for a 28-foot yacht with spacious aft and fore cabins. The saloon converts to make a double berth with a single opposite with an L shaped galley. It is a comfortable and spacious boat with lots of natural light. Owner open to reasonable offers for a quick sale.

Accommodation

This Gib'Sea 28 has six berths in two cabins with one head. The forward cabin has a good size V berth with storage underneath and an opening hatch to the foredeck.

The saloon has a central table with a bench seat to starboard and L shaped seating to port. The Saloon table can seat six adults comfortably. Aft of the starboard bench seat is the chart table with all navigation equipment and storage for charts.

To port is the corner Galley which has a gas cooker and oven, galley sinks with manually pumped cold water. Opposite is the heads with good headroom, marine head and single sink with manually pumped cold water. Aft of the galley to port is a good size single quarter berth. This Gib'Sea 28 is carpeted throughout and has fitted curtains. It also benefits from new upholstery.

Mechanical and Rigging

Sails & Spars:

Masthead rigged sloop with deck stepped aluminium mast and boom with slab reefing mainsail and furling genoa. Stainless steel standing rigging and terylene running rigging (replaced as required).

Winches:

2 x Lewmar ST30 self-tailing sheet winches

1 x Gibb 28RA halyard winch

1 x Halyard winch and 1 other mast mounted winch

Sails:

1 x Mainsail 1 x Genoa 1


Mechanical Systems:

Located under cockpit sole is a Beta marine 16hp inboard diesel engine that was fitted new in 2019 with new engine mouonts and controls, with only 40 hours use. Seawater cooled. Single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to a 2 bladed propeller. 14 Gallon stainless steel fuel tank. Cruising speed of 5 knots and Max speed of 6 knots.


Electrical Systems:

2 x 12v batteries (August 2015), charging from engine alternator and 240-volt battery charger, a 240-volt ring main also installed.

This Gibsea 28 was built in 1981. White grp hull, antifouled April 2018. White grp coachroof with moulded non-skid decks. Self-draining cockpit, separate gas locker. Cast iron Fin Keel. Transom mounted rudder.
