'Fancy Vancouver' is a great example of the Vancouver 28 which has a well-deserved reputation as the classic offshore cruiser She is in good condition having been very well maintained by her single owner. He had her commissioned by Northshore and went on to complete the ARC and spent many years cruising in the Mediterranean. For the last few years, he has been cruising the Channel regularly, mostly single-handed.
The Vancouver 28 is designed for short-handed long distanced cruising. She is a safe, comfortable passage maker easily sailed single or short-handed. The 28 is longer than the 27 and importantly has more headroom at 6ft 2 inches. The interior
has high-quality joinery which gives a warm, comfortable feel throughout.
She has a well-maintained reliable Yanmar 2GM20 18hp engine and a full set of sails all in good condition which includes a cruising chute and spinnaker. She comes with a wind vane self-steering system as well as a tiller pilot autohelm.

Accommodation
The Vancouver 28 has three good sea berths, two settee berths in the saloon and a large quarter berth on the starboard side. There is ample storage throughout with a large heads and a very large storage locker in the forward area. The galley is well laid out, and there is a chart table on the starboard side midships.
