Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379

Sunday 15th July was a perfect day for sailing.    It was our first sail in a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 and we picked a great day to put her through her paces.  Wall to wall sunshine and enough wind to make it fun.  After the obligatory sausage rolls and a cups of tea for our crew of four, we passed through the lock at about 2pm.  We set off towards the Sovereign Lighthouse and were soon belting along doing 7.8 knots.   Everything was in our favour, the wind, the sun and the yacht.  This is the sort of day you dream about.  We passed by the lighthouse then headed back to the marina.  Sovereign Harbour was full of life and the lock was very busy, we were crammed in like sardines.  But everyone was happy to be out in the sun and actually using their boats!!  The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 was a joy to sail and we ended the day sitting in the cockpit with a beer thinking how lucky we were.
