Hunter Horizon 30

Hunter Horizon 30

Hunter Horizon 30 just listed for sale. Hull number 23, built by Hunter Boats in 1995, designed by David Thomas.  The Hunter tradition of excellence has run throughout their range of reliable family cruisers.  The Hunter Horizon 30 was launched at the end of 1992 and has a balanced fractional sail plan and features Hunter’s Cockpit Control System, this includes a self tacking jib and a cockpit operated, single line remote control mainsail reefing system.  This example has twin fin cruising keels which feature streamlined bulbs to give a low centre of gravity and stability.

There is a generous 6’+ headroom below and a spacious saloon with plenty of locker space.  NAMASTE offers the three cabin cruising layout and the two double and two single berths are  generous bunks and all are over 6′ long.

Yachting Monthly said: ‘The Horizon 30 appears to be a sturdy, well mannered cruiser, undemanding to sail for a short handed crew.  She would make a fine coastal cruiser, easily capable of cross Channel or longer voyages.’

NAMASTE is powered by a 20hp Yanmar diesel engine last serviced in May 2017. Fresh water cooled, shaft drive (with cutter), to a folding propeller.

Part III registered -SSR 70145

These boats are quite rare and this example is priced to sell quickly as the owners have bought another boat.  Currently ashore near to our office at Noss on Dart Marina and available for viewing.
