Banks 42 Classic built by American Marine in 1989, commissioned and delivered to Europe in 1990.  BRAYZEN is a true classic that is always admired.  This is a boat that has undergone numerous updates by her current owner and she looks superb as a result.  Her specification includes generator, radar, GPS chart plotter, autopilot, teak decks, teak bathing platform, bow thruster and fully serviced engines. In its third ownership and her current owner undertakes yacht deliveries, so he is very focussed on presentation and reliability.

She is powered by twin 375 hp Caterpillar engines which were stripped and re-built in 2008, they have completed approximately 3000 hours running.  Whilst higher speeds are possible, keeping to a cruising speed of 14 knots ensures that fuel consumption is low.

Last year the owners engineer dismantled every through hull fitting  cleaned them, greased them and replaced them. All three 230Ah batteries have been replaced in the last three years. The generator is checked and serviced every year; the water pump impeller was replaced at this years service. Whilst ashore for her service this year the boat was also cleaned and antifouled.

Comprehensive navigation package that includes open array radar, Fishfinder, AIS, Autopilot, Chart Plotter and GPS.

This Grand Banks 42 Classic can sleep five in 2 double and a single berth in two cabins.  Accommodation consists of owners stateroom with en suite, guest cabin, deck saloon , galley and flybridge.   The owners cabin offers a double berth as well as a large single berth as well as a hanging wardrobe and dressing table with drawers.  In addition there is private access to the aft deck.

The deck saloon offers ‘L’ shaped seating as well as a settee, interior helm, large drinks cabinet, parquet flooring and 180 degree views.
