Broker Remarks

A Well -known and extensively cruised sailing yacht. Very well equipped for blue water cruising. This yacht has been continuously updated and maintained by the same owner since 1989, including new engine in 2006 new upholstery, new propeller, new standing rigging 1999, and lists of updated equipment. Accommodation

This is a well thought out 8 berth yacht. Forward there is a large cabin with 2 single berths that can also be converted with an infill to a double. The main saloon has two settees either side of a fold down table, new upholstery 2000. Both settees have lee cloths for use as bunks at sea and the port side also converts into a generous double bunk. Aft of the main saloon there is a U shaped galley to starboard. The galley is well equipped with a Nelson 2 ring oven and hob (new 2003) large front opening fridge with ice tray and stainless steel sink and draining board. There is ample storage for pots and pans around the galley there is also racks for the plates and mugs. 21 jar herb and spice rack, foot pump for fresh water, new gas alarm 2007 and gas isolator switch for hob. To port there is a full size chart table, with storage under the lid and 3 draws down the side. At the chart table is the switch board for all the electrics. Aft of the chart table there is a passage way aft with another single bunk with lee cloth. There is generous stowage below the bunk and shelves above. The main owner’s cabin is aft with a double bunk and en-suite heads. There is loads of stowage in the aft cabin including a hanging area.

Mechanical and Rigging

Volvo D1/30 3 cylinder 30 Hp diesel engine - new 2006 50 amp alternator 2 x 120 A/H deep cycle batteries - new 2009 1 x engine start battery 1 x emergency engine start battery 40 gallon fuel tank Double spreader Kemp mast. Spinnaker track on forward side of mast. Kemp boom with running rigging for mainsail outhall, three reefing lines, a flattener and kicker. Clipper wind gear at mast head. Windex at mast head incorporating VHF antenna. Flag hoists to first cross trees on either side of the mast. Baby forestay on pelican release hook. (For dip-pole gybing of spinnaker) Spare forestay. All standing rigging renewed in 1999 New Furlex gear for furling genoa and new forestay installed 2007. All ropes lead back to cockpit Mainsail with batons. (Ratsay and Lapthorne about 11 years old. In good condition. Serviced and washed annually by Saturn Sails) (with sail cover and sail bag) Furling genoa (Saturn Sails 8 years old serviced and laundered annually excellent condition) and sail bag. Storm jib.
