Broker Remarks

May Morning is a wonderfully kept and lightly used Westerly Centaur. She has plenty of accomadation as is the trait of the Centaur and is well kitted out. She has been well maintained thoughout her life and this shows in the quality of this yacht. She would be perfectly at home crusing the coast or on longer hauls. Ideal for a family being super stable and seaworthy or perect for the experienced sailor who chooses to navigate shallow esturies.

LAYOUT - B V berth in forepeak accomodating two people with standing headroom Double berth in saloon with 2 quarter berths with full standing headroom. Galley consists of Origo 2 burner stove. Cool box, single sink with cold water only.

Mechanical and Rigging

GRP Volvo Penta 23hp Diesel engine ( original ), shaft drive. Anodised aluminium masthead sloop with stainless steel standing rigging (Rigging replaced in 2004) Slab reefing mainsail with 3 reefing points - New 2004 Roller reefing genoa - Genoa re-cut and new furling gear 2004 Reefing lines/ kicker / mainshet etc all led aft to cockpit. New guardrails

One of the last Centaurs to be built. (Sail No: 2322 of 2400) Headlinings replaced by a professional using the westerly kit. Hull re-sprayed by Dickies of Bangor Re-conditioned engine regulary checked and serviced by a professional. Re-rigged in 2004 New mainsail in 2004 May Morning was purchased by the present owner in the year 2000. Her top sides were resprayed by Dickies of Bangor giving her a new feel and look. The Cabin headlinings have been professionally replaced using the westerly repair kit. She has been Osmosis treated, keels and bolts have been rebedded by the previous owner shortly before the purchase. The engine has been profesionally reconditioned and maintained. Navigation, deck and steaming lights have been renewed in 2007. Radar reflector installed 2006, Running rigging and sail control tackle have all been renewed and upgraded in 2004 at the time of the refitting of the sails.
