This Westerly Centaur for sale is a great cruising yacht benefiting from Westerly’s solid build quality. With bilge keels it is great for creek crawling and sailing the East and Kent coasts. Presented in fair condition for her age. Owner is selling due to ill health. A 2016 survey report is available on request.
Accommodation
This Westerly Centaur has 5 berths in 2 cabins with 5ft 11 inches of headroom. Forward cabin has a V berth with an infill and plenty of storage. Heads in separate compartment to port with marine toilet and hanging locker opposite. Saloon with L shaped seating to port, single settee to starboard and two full length quarter berths to port and starboard with brown upholstery. Galley is opposite the main saloon seating and has a 2-ring cooker with grill. Single sink unit with pumped cold water. The open saloon provides a very useable space and with plenty of storage areas a clutter free living area.

Located under the cockpit sole, Volvo Penta MD11C 2-cylinder 25hp diesel engine. Sea water cooled. Single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to a fixed 3 bladed bronze fixed propeller with rope cutter. 45 litre stainless steel fuel tank. The engine was last serviced in 2020 and used on three times before the yacht was placed ashore where it has remained due to COVID and the owners health.

This Westerly Centaur was built in 1976 by Westerly Yachts Ltd. Blue painted GRP hull with non-slip decks. Iron bilge keels. Tiller steering with skeg rudder. Self-draining cockpit. Last surveyed in 2016.The boat is currently ashore ready for inspection. She has been owned by the current owner for the last 26 years. The boat was prepared (serviced)for the 2020 sailing season. It was launched but only used two or three times that season due to the owners ill health and the covid pandemic. It Came out in October 2020 and not been used since.
