Accommodation
Comprises of forward double cabin, Saloon double and two single aft. The cabin floors have been fitted with a new marine grade carpet, which has a very heavy rubber backing, very hardwearing and fully washable. There is a useful galley area that benefits from a new Plastimo Stainless Steel Cooker and pressurized fresh water system. The cooker has full flame failure to the oven and hobs and is gimballed for use at sea. There is a large volume of storage space for pans, cooking utensils and food items - including a cool box alongside. Stainless Steel Sink. There is an additional 'Home Comfort' in the shape of a 'propex' gas warm air heating system which is flued overboard. Below the sink is a foot pump that augments the pressure system should this be neccessary. A new headlining has been fitted throughout the vessel and this, together with the complete stripping and varnishing of the joiner work, has created a light, airy and clean interior. New covers have been fitted to the saloon foam whilst the fore cabin benefits from new four inch thick high density foam covered with a foam backed hard wearing fabric for an exceptionally comfortable double berth. In addittion the saloon windows have had new seals fitted and the frames have been refurbished.
Mechanical and Rigging
Volvo MD11C has been well maintained and some five years ago was given a full overhaul wich included pressing out the liners to ensure efficiency of the cooling system. New bearings and rings were fitted at the same time. There is a twin battery installation with two 115 ampere hour cells, one new and one recent. New Blue Sea Systems switch panel has been provided which utilises circut breakers rather than fuses. Stainless Steel Rigging. New Standing and running rigging.Main, Genoa. Guard wires have been replaced.The main is fully betteded with slab reefing and has seen little use. A new genoa is to be obtained and there is a spinnaker with snuffer.
Inventory
New NASA depth sounder. Navico marine VHF radio. A new panel contains the solid state controls for the heating system and these are new this year. Two Autopilot both of Autohelm lineage and both are fully functional.
