The Rival 34 designed by Peter Brett, a very well balanced and extremely seaworthy vessel. The sturdy design is an ideal long distance crusier and is a proven all weather performer. Fitted with a reliable Volvo MD2B 23hp engine, which is served yearly by the owner. The interior has an attractive teak interior with vinyl faux leather upholstery completed by the yard which became Oyster Marine.
Owners Remarks & History: Cahuin was built ( launched as ‘Ness point’) for a wealthy Suffolk Turkey Farmer, who thought that seven berths (standard on ‘finished boats’ ) was too many for a 34ft. boat. She was transferred to Landimore’s Yard, Ipswich to be fitted out with matched veneers in teak to ‘Oyster Standards’ to 5 berths. She was re- named ‘ Cahuin’ (an Argentinian Folk Dance) by the second owner Mr. Hamish Grant. He sold her to a family named Maclean, Thence she came to me in 1988.
