'Flame iv' is a David Sadler designed 27-foot capable cruising yacht. The Phoenix 27 was a redesigned Sadler Frigate 27. She has 7ins deeper topsides giving more headroom; this gives 6ft 3 in the saloon. She was built by Island Plastics in 1986 and had a reliable Yanmar 2GM 18hp engine installed which has been regularly serviced.
She is well equipped for cruising with radar, autohelm and DSC VHF radio. All her lines lead to the cockpit for ease of single or short-handed sailing. Her design included wheel steering. She has davits and a wind generator.
All In all, she is a well-equipped cruiser which is capable of long distance cruising.
The Phoenix 27 is a very interesting David Sadler design and far superior to the Sadler 25 or Sadler 26 models.
Accommodation
The Phoenix 27 sleeps 4 in a forward double a saloon single and port pilot berth. She has a heads cabin with sink and a galley with a oven ,grill and two burners. She has particularly good headroom.
