Broker Remarks

Nicholson 39 centre cockpit ketch for sale, built by Camper and Nicholson in 1977. She has been in the current ownership since 2003 and is now for sale as the owners are taking a break from sailing.

The hull and superstructure are white and the stack packs and sprayhood are brown whilst the decks are finished with cream non slip deck paint.

The Nicholson 39 is a very comfortable yacht to sail as her easily managed ketch rig and heavy build make her a great sea boat.  The Ford Merlin 50HP diesel engine gives ‘Sheerwater of Dee’ an approximate cruising speed of six knots.  The rig has anodised aluminium spars, a Selden slab reefing boom and stack packs to main and mizzen.  A fully battened mainsail, Radial spinnaker and snuffer are all included as well as a full set of sails.

The navigation equipment includes Raymarine autopilot and pilot course computer with a type 2 rotary drive.

Below is a spacious three cabin layout which gives great accommodation with room for family and friends, finished with teak joinery and light blue upholstery.  The well equipped galley is separate from the saloon which gives extra space for socialising and dining.  The aft cabin has a double and single berth together with a hanging locker and ensuite facilities the forepeak has a ‘V’ berth with infill, and access to the foreward heads compartment.

A well equipped and well maintained example of this classic and admired yacht which has had much refurbishment and new equipment during the current ownership, see full specification for details. Marina based close to our office, please call for an appointment to view.
