1986 Moody 31 MkII
The Moody 31 is a well-built small family cruiser that has stood the test of time well. A modern up-to-date design with great performance and excellent accommodation, they are easily handled and fun to sail. This great example has been well cared for by a professional shipwright and has a recent engine and central heating. Don't hesitate to view her. A 2017 Survey report is available on request.

Accommodation

The layout offers up to six berths with two double cabins separate from the main accommodation.  In the forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under. Opening hatch to deck. Hanging locker. In saloon, two settee berths. Fixed table with drop leaves. Chart table to port with galley opposite. Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven. Cool box. Stainless steel sink with manually pumped water supply. 135 litre freshwater capacity. Separate heads to port with marine toilet and washbasin. Aft cabin to starboard with double berth and hanging locker.

Masthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom by Kemp Spars. Stainless steel standing rigging (2005). Terylene running rigging (2005). Slab reefing mainsail. Furlex headsail furling system (2005). Two Lewmar 40 self-tailing sheet winches. Three Lewmar halyard winches.

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway, Volvo 2030 three-cylinder 28hp diesel engine, fitted new in 2001. Electric start. Seawater cooled. Shaft drive to three bladed propeller (new 2005). Single lever control. 90 litre fuel capacity in plastic tank giving approximately 350-mile range at 5 knot cruising speed.  Maximum speed under power 6.5 knots.
