Broker Remarks
The Moody 27 enjoys an excellent safety reputation being designed with a fast hull and a good ballast ratio to make her both stiff and seaworthy. The relatively new (2002) diesel engine gives her a good turn of speed under power. "Moody B" is a fine example having had just two owners from new, the present ownership seeing improvements and professional maintenance since 1986.
Accommodation
4 + 2 berths. Double berth in forepeak and 2 x single berths in the saloon. A double berth aft. The galley comprises of a single stainless steel sink with manual fresh water tap, a cool box & 2 ring gimbled gas cooker with hob, grill and oven. Jabsco manual sea toilet, sink with manual fresh water tap.

GRP constructed by Marine Projects Plymouth Ltd. Treated with 5 coats Gelshield below the waterline in 1990. London registered part 1 No.703615 with a tonnage of 6.48. Tiller steered bilge keel. Volvo Penta 2002 18hp Diesel engine. 2 blade prop on shaft with Water cooled shaft seal. Engine serviced yearly. Stainless Steel Fuel Tank with Fuel Filters 80 litres capacity. 1x 95Ahr Engine battery. 1x 95Ahr Service battery. Rotary battery isolator switch. Electrical control panel for: cabin lights, Navigation lights, Instuments, Radio. Proctor masts anodised aluminium single spreader mast and boom. Fully battened Main Sail by Arun Sails. Original Lucas Semi battened Main Sail as spare. Rolling Genoa by Bruce Banks. Original Lucas rolling working jib. Rotastay Roller Reefing. Dual single line boom reefing system. All lines led back to cockpit with clutches and halyard winch on coach roof. Ajustable Genoa cars + Spinnaker car on mast. Sail bag with lazy jacks.
