The Monterey 250 CR is a rare and sought after boat, similar to the Bayliner 265 and Maxum 2700 but offering superior build quality and handling. This example is fitted with the Yanmar 4LHA diesel engine option with 656 hours, full cockpit tent with bimini, manual anchor, colour chart plotter. The engine has just been serviced for the coming season, presented in excellent condition throughout and ready to enjoy. Just needs to be taken out for its 2020 antifoul.
Accommodation
The Monterey 250 CR layout offers four berths with approx. 6'2" maximum headroom. Wrap-a-round settee forward, a central table which drops to form a generous double V berth and storage areas. Galley to port equipped with a single burner ceramic electric hob, microwave, fridge with icebox, stainless steel sink and storage. Opposite to starboard in a separate compartment is a marine toilet, shower and washbasin.
Aft cabin beneath cockpit sole offering a large double berth and storage areas. Pressurised hot and cold water supply throughout. Cream fabric upholstery with complimenting carpets and curtains. Spacious cockpit with twin seat helm position, aft-facing sun lounger, wet bar and further comfortable seating for 4/5 adults aft. High-quality cream vinyl cockpit upholstery and grey removable cockpit carpets. Walk-thru transom to a good-sized bathing platform with folding bathing ladder.
Mechanical and Rigging
Located under the cockpit sole, Yanmar 4LHA 240 HP 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via a heat exchanger. Single lever EDC electronic controls and EVC electric start. outdrive with power trim/tilt. Full engine instrumentation with a voltmeter, temperature, oil pressure, trim indicator (not currently displaying), speedometer and rev counter gauges. Trim tabs.
In April 2018 a full engine and leg service including bellows and anodes was carried out and the engine has only run for 656hrs as at March 2020. Fuel filters, primary and secondary and oil filters and oil have just been changed (February 2020).
Electrical Systems:
2 x 12v Batteries charged via engine alternator. Shore power system with ring mains, immersion coil for water heating and battery charger. 12v Socket.

Construction:
Maxum 2500 SR built by Monterey Boats in 2005 for the 2005 model year and first launched in 2005. Blue GRP hull, white superstructure and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Self draining cockpit. Walk-thru transom to integrated bathing platform with concealed swim ladder.
"So Long" was last polished and antifouled in April 2019 She does need to come out for her 2020 antifoul and hull polish but internally and in the cockpit she is very well presented.
The Monterey 250 Cruiser packs more than you'd ever imagine into it's 27 foot overall length. The integrated swim platform includes a recessed telescoping boarding ladder, wet storage and ski rope compartment. The removable ice chest, plentiful drink holders and a standard top with side and aft canvas are all standard equipment on this stylish pocket cruiser. Below deck, the 250 invites you and your guests with many of the comforts reserved only for larger craft. Forward, the dinette offers spacious seating and converts into a luxurious double berth. A mid-cabin with double berth completes the sleeping accommodations for four. On the port side is a one-piece molded fiberglass galley built for easy cleaning. It's complete with an AC/DC refrigerator, alcohol stove, sink with faucet, 12-volt direct/indirect lighting and generous storage compartments.
