Broker Remarks

Last surveyed in 2014. She is registered with the small ships register and has an out of water survey giving her a good bill of health. She was built in 1972 and the original manufactures details are available.

She is now rigged for single handed sailing with all sails able to be raised and lowered from the cockpit.

She now boasts a shower, instant hot water, a fridge, gimbaled cooker, full electronic navigation equipment, navigation lights for both being under sail and steaming, shore power, battery charging from a four stage charger combined with solar panels to maintain the habitation battery, as well as automatic battery selection when charging from the high power alternator. There are removable davits at the stern for suspending a dinghy. An SMS alarm system and much more.

Mechanical and Rigging

The 1500 cc BMC/Thornicroft engine was completely rebuilt in 2012 with over £1500 spent on parts including a re-bore and oversized pistons. The fuel system was overhauled including a complete rebuild and calibration of the injection pump. All work was carried out by professional marine engineers.

She will run at a good eight knots and at around 1200 rpm will maintain a very respectable five to six knots with a fuel consumption around a gallon an hour.

She has been mostly rewired to a good standard and the gas system has been completely renewed with the gas bottle being located in its original drained stern locker with a bubble detector and switched manifold.
