Broker Remarks
This well known cruising yachts has been equipped for short handed or single handed sailing. The Kingfisher 30 became well known when Chay Blyth sailed one in the first single handed round the world yacht race. She has had 3 owners from new and has been extensively cruised in the Scottish Highlands, the Irish Sea and the English Channel. For anyone wanting a no frills, capable short handed cruising boat or for a first time, safe family boat then this one should be considered.
Accommodation
Forecabin with 2 single berths with lee cloths plus an infil to convert to a double berth. Saloon with port and starboard settee berths with lee cloths. Aft cabin with 2 single berths. Galley in saloon with Plastimo neptune 2500 gas cooker with fiddles, sink with fresh water and salt water taps. Heads compartment with sea water toilet and large hanging locker to starboard. Forecabin and saloon partioned with clever sliding door arrangement. Chart table to starboard with chart stowage under.
Mechanical and Rigging
Designed by R.A.G. Nierop and built by Westfield Engineering Ltd of Poole. 1.5 ltr BMC diesel freshwater cooled and driving a 3 bladed propeller. 40 ltr stainless steel tank with sight gauge. 40 gallon fresh water flexible tank. Alloy mast and boom with stainless steel standing rigging. Mast steps fitted. Mainsail by Crusader (2005), furling genoa by Crusader (2005), Crusader cruising shute, Crusader spinnaker.
