Broker Remarks

This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 for sale through Network Yacht Brokers Plymouth is a very good example, she has been in the same private ownership from new and in excellent condition. The woodwork below deck is superb and the upholstery is also in excellent condition.
The owner replaced the stackpack, sprayhood and added the full cockpit enclosure in 2013, this has added an extra dimension to how the boat can be used. The covered cockpit space allows year round protection, it stays warm and wind free during the winters with the heating on below deck. In the summer the side panels can be raised and gives good protection on those sunny days when at anchor.
The Jeannuea Sun Odyssey 40 is the three cabin layout, although mainly two cabins have been used, with the third cabin used as a handy storeroom. The cushions for this cabin have been stored at the owners house since he bought the boat and have never been used on the boat, so are in excellent condition.
There is also the provision for a extra double berth in the saloon with a convertible saloon table and infill cushion to make up the double berth.
You will not be short of storage as there are all of the traditionally placed lockers, cupboards, shelves and drawers throughout that accommodate the space needed for extended cruising.
The navigation equipment on board is ample, it includes a Raymarine chartplotter and radar at the chart table, along with an AIS transponder, DSC VHF, Navtex, Raymarine wind, log, speed, depth and autopilot.
The underwater profile on this Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 was stripped back to gelcoat in 2014 and re-primed and antifouled, so there is not layer upon layer of antifoul left on the underside, she is smooth and faster through the water.

If you are looking for a well maintained boat then you should certainly come and check Perfect Number out!

Owners Remarks:

I bought 'Perfect Number” as a new boat at the end of 2002 and she was launched in late January 2003 and has been in my ownership ever since. She has been sailed throughout the English Channel and the Biscay area of France by my wife and myself. The boat is very easy to handle and easily manoeuvred, especially if you use the 'kick' of the 3 blade propeller. The mainsail reefing is very easily done from the cockpit. She has never been raced or chartered!
Living on board is very comfortable and the addition of the large cockpit 'tent', which stows away on the pushpit, has extended the living area into the cockpit, this is particularly good in inclement weather.
Throughout my ownership the boat has been well loved and cared for, the engine and gearbox oils have always been changed well in advance of the recommended periods and in April 2016 the heat exchanger and exhaust manifold were professionally removed,  cleaned and replaced.
My wife and I have really enjoyed owning “Perfect Number', we have always felt very safe and secure in her and it is only due to health problems that we are selling her. Should you buy her be prepared to answer the question “what is a perfect number” I will supply details should you need them.
