Jeanneau Merry Fisher 855 has been designed to attain a level of cruising comfort never seen before on an 8m boat, she has two cabins, plus a main saloon.Twin outboard motor’s are well suited to economic cruising on this boat, allowing for easy manoeuvring within a marina environment. The added comfort of a twin engine package should anything cause a problem with one engine is also great to have. The Jeanneau Merry Fisher 855 is built for pleasure cruising, she has look that will win you over at a glance, large glazed surfaces and unrivalled ease of movement on board. 

Offshore Version
Jeanneau make two versions of the Merry Fisher 855, a standard and offshore version. We believe the offshore version of this remarkable boat is the one to have if your going to venture out to sea. 

The offshore version of the 855 is category B for 5 people or cat C for 10 which is a very good rating. Below is a copy of the RCD basic information about stability categories.

Definitions of Boat Design Categories.

‘A’ OCEAN: Designed for extended voyages where conditions may exceed wind force 8 (Beaufort scale) and significant wave heights of 4 m and above but excluding abnormal conditions, and vessels are largely self-sufficient.

‘B’ OFFSHORE: Designed for offshore voyages where conditions up to, and including, wind force 8 and significant wave heights up to, and including, 4 m may be experienced.

‘C’ INSHORE: Designed for voyages in coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers where conditions up to, and including, wind force 6 and significant wave heights up to, and including, 2 m may be experienced.

‘D’ SHELTERED WATERS: Designed for voyages on sheltered coastal waters, small bays, small lakes, rivers and canals when conditions up to, and including, wind force 4 and significant wave heights up to, and including, 0.3 m may be experienced, with occasional waves of 0.5 m maximum height, for example from passing vessels.

Honda Twin Engine Installation
With two Honda 150 or 200Hp engines powering you along effortlessly the Merry Fisher 855 will certainly be a head turner. She will outperform the single engine option with a maximum speed of over 30 knots. The 855 Offshore will be a pleasure to manoeuvre around confined marina spaces. Fitted with a bow thruster this 855 Offshore will recover her composure in virtually all circumstances. Turning as they say on a sixpence giving ultimate confidence back to the helmsman.

Jeanneau’s Merry Fisher 855 is a highly functional boat and as the largest in the range she exhibits all of the features and successes you’ve come to expect from a Merry Fisher. Her solid and traditional V-shaped hull gives great stability and prowess through the water. Brilliant liveability brought from spacious berths and innovative wheelhouse design.

Boaters familiar with the Merry Fisher range will recognise the U-shaped seating in cockpit that has worked so well on other models, with the option of being able to convert seating into a sun bed. This gives the cockpit a high degree of luxury but with clever Jeanneau design this can be moved away to give the open, spacious cockpit every fishing trip needs.

It’s not just fishing that she excels at though, with an innovative galley, two spacious cabins, bathroom including WC and shower she is family orientated and a brilliant family cruiser.

The Merry Fisher 855 has a distinct feeling of size about her, she is verging on the edge of the larger cruising vessels and her comprehensive list of features that come as standard support this. Opening double sunroof combined with a helm station side door and sliding rear doors really give the 855 a feel of a larger craft.

Space is a fundamental aspect to any cruiser, as such the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 855 Offshore has a large open cockpit aft. The dynamically designed cabin is bursting with innovation, clever space management and can comfortably accommodate 4 people which is invaluable when at sea.

Based on a scandinavian design a 360° view is available from inside the cabin space. This design allows the user to fully experience the outside environment even on days where it may be raining, but still be in the warm comfort of the cabin space.
