'Sky Catcher' was built as a water ballasted 'C-Star' edition of its Legend 45 cruiser range. In the 1988 Carlberg Single Handed Transatlantic Race she won her class and also beat all the yachts in the class above. In 1993-94 she underwent a major remodelling and refit in preparation for the 'Round Alone' (1995) race. She won her class by three days in the BOC Transatlantic Challenge in 1994. Since purchasing her in 1999 a significant amount of refitting has been carried out and the complement of fittings has been added to. The boat has been prepared with the intention of completing the ARC and other long distance voyages.
