General Description

Shorthanded sailing is easy in this modern cruiser. It is both high-pointing and fast, but also seakindly. It is a boat made to go around the world or cruise local waters. This Hallberg-Rassy 46 has completed the ARC and returned to Europe as deck cargo. There is space for all the modern comfort aids. Hull and deck are GRP, built under supervision of Lloyd's Register of Shipping. A Lloyd's certificate issued. The hull is insulated above the water line. Deck is GRP sandwich construction, 35mm for strength and insulation. The lead keel is attached with stainless steel bolts. The mast is stepped on a base on the cabintop directly over a reinforced bulk head. Cockpit protected by permanent windscreens in tempered glass in light alloy frames. The middle pane is hinged and opens. Sprayhood in synthetic material with aluminum frames with full cockpit tent providing additional shelter. Handrails, companionway, hatch guides, sole and seats in cockpit are all in solid Bangkok teak. The cabin is done in selected mahogany, hand-rubbed and treated to a silk smooth finish. The seagoing galley so arranged that one can work safely even in heavy seas, and has deep, double sinks and a well-insulated icebox. A fine example of this trusted cruiser and maintained in top order and wintered ashore under its custom cover.

General Arrangement

Traditional Hallberg-Rassy mahogany interior beautifully finished in eggshell varnish. The hull is lined throughout with mahogany slats providing insulation and ventilation behind joinery and soft furnishings. Fitted "pop on" carpet mats over timber finish floors. 

Forward cabin with "V" berth with excellent storage beneath berths and lockers above. Overhead access and ventilation hatch.

Twin cabin to port side with upper and lower bunks with stowage beneath the bunks. Hanging locker and deck opening hatch.

Heads with separate shower compartment to starboard, wash hand basin, toilet, stowage above and below the basin, electric pump shower to holding tank.

Spacious saloon with settee berth to starboard and "L" shaped settee berth to port with hinge up seat backs to form additional sea berth with lee cloth. Opening deck hatch and opening ports in the coachroof. Navigation station to port and galley to starboard. Galley with double stainless sinks, three burner cooker with oven and grill. Top opening fridge with ice making compartment.

Spacious aft cabin with double berth and central dressing chair. Shower and heads with separate shower compartment.

Engine access is via the companionway to the aft cabin.
