An outstandingly pretty yacht which in my opinion has been completely refurbished to the highest standards by professional craftsmen.This is a "must see" yacht.

Accommodation

5 berths in two cabins. Vee berths forward under the fore deck Hull sides lined with varnished mahogany slats, white painted deck head. Thick cushions covered in Blue vinyl. Fore hatch over. Bulkhead with hanging locker to port heads compartment with Blake sea toilet to starboard. Main saloon with port & Starboard settee berths with canvas lee cloths and blue cloth upholstery Lockers above and below in Varnished mahogany. Gimballed Taylors parafin oven with two hot plates above. Stainless steel sink with brass hand pump. To starboard is the chart table with trotter box under and qtr berth behind extending under side deck. Steps up to cockpit which remove to expose the engine. Drop leaf table between the two settee berths. 6Ft headroom in main saloon, more in way of sliding hatch.

Mechanical and Rigging

Built by Berthon in 1937 this 8ton Gauntlet has been well looked after during her life winning many races and Concours classes the last in 1997. She changed hands in 98 and was a little neglected until the current owner bought her in 2004. Over the last two years she has been returned to her former glory having more than the 2004 survey required she now has much new gear and is ready for the next classic ralley! Volvo Penta 2003L 28Hp 3 cyl diesel engine,1990. It was removed from vessel and Bench overhauled in 2005/6. drives a 3 bladed prop giving a maximum speed of 7.5Kts. using about 1/3 gall/hr. 18 gallon S/S fuel tank. Engine instrumentation includes rev counter, audio and visual temperature and pressure alarms. 2 x 12v Batteries (new) giving 12v circuits. 40 gallon s/steel water tank and a secondary epoxy painted steel tank. Bermudan sloop rigged on varnished deck stepped mast. New standing and running riggin. Roller reefing fore sail, Slab reefing main sail on original wooden boom. Spinaker gear with alloy pole atatched to face of mast. The sails are in good condition and there are various older sails not listed :- Main sail 312Sq Ft, No 1 genoa 300 sq ft, No 2 genoa 200 sq ft,No 1 genoa on hanks, Cruising chute, tri sail and storm jib.
