'Spirit of Amport ' a Folk boat has just come on to the market in Lymington, Hampshire and I think it is fair to say she is the very best Folk boat currently for sale.
She has been extensively refitted by her present owner. Her 5hp Mariner out board is new as is the standing rigging,running rigging, fully battened main, genoa and single line roller furler.
Down below she has a stove and most importantly new upholstery.
Folkboats continue to be extremely popular even after 75years since their beginning in 1942. When you sail one you realise why. They can be raced or cruised are safe and reasonably fast. Their ballast ratio of over 50% give them a perfectly judged stiffness. They are pretty with elegant lines and extremely satisfying to sail.
