The Fairline Sedan 36 is closely related to the legendary Turbo 36, sharing the same hull and mechanicals. The layout however is more versatile for most owners, as it features more outside space and is easier to get on and off. Manufactured in 1987 this boat is in lovely condition having being maintained to a high standard. The Fairline Sedan 36 is equipped with twin Volvo 306hp units. Bow and stern power thrusters with remote control allow easy berthing single handed. Extremely well presented, early viewing recommended.

This Fairline Sedan 36 has been competitively priced but the owner is open to sensible offers for a quick sale.

Accommodation

The Fairline Sedan 36 offers 4 berths in 2 cabins,. The forward owners cabin has an island double bed, wardrobe, CD/radio and access to en-suite heads

There is a Twin cabin to starboard with 2 single beds and hanging lockers. Heads accessible as en-suite to owner’s cabin with sea toilet, hand basin and shower, stainless steel holding tank.

The Galley is down 2 steps from the saloon and to port. It is equipped with a 2 burner gas hob, gas oven and grill, fridge (new 2020), and double stainless steel sinks.

The saloon has a spacious feel with cream upholstery with two full size sofas to port and starboard, saloon table on a stainless steel pedestal. Internal helm position with double cream seat. Upholstery was new in September 2020. Blue carpets throughout new September 2020. Webasto cabin heating, beige carpets throughout. Spacious cockpit with white leather seating.

Mechanical and Rigging

Mechanical systems:

The Fairline Sedan 36 is powered by two Volvo Penta TAMD 61A six cylinder turbo diesel engines producing 306hp each, shaft drive to twin bronze 4 bladed propellers with rope cutters. Trim tabs. Giving an approximate cruising speed of 16 knots and an approximate maximum speed of 24 knots. Engines fully serviced in December 2020 fuel capacity of 240 gallons. 


Electrical systems:

2 x 12 volt batteries (new 2020) charging from the engine alternator, 240 volt battery charger, Kohler 3.5kw inboard generator (last serviced Sept 2012). Full 240 volt ring main installed along with an immersion heater.

History & Construction

Designed by Bernard Olesinski and built in 1987 by Fairline Boats, it shares the highly-regarded and capable planning hull design with the Turbo 36.  The hull, deck and superstructure are moulded in ivory GRP and deck fittings are anodised aluminium and stainless steel.  Owned by the current owner for the last year,  Last out of the water July 2020 when she was antifouled, hull polished and anodes changed.
